Thorns In France

Nine Thorns FC athletes competed in the 2019 World Cup in France.
To capture the energy of the World Cup and to showcase our club to a global audience,
we created a brand campaign that followed our athletes’ trip across the Atlantic. 

Logo Design

Designed a logo to capture the energy of the World Cup and connect our club’s brand to the tournament.


Supporter’s Scarf

We designed a scarf that made its way into stadiums in France and onto national tv.


Digital App

Throughout the month-long tournament our editorial team created a stream of content that included a daily journal, a weekly podcast, four long-form videos and a ton of written features that could only be told from the Thorns perspective – and you could find it all in the Thorns in France app.


Four World Cup Champions

Four Thorns athletes brought home the World Cup trophy to the United States. By adapting our campaign title we created new merch to celebrate the victory.

Results

Thorns in France generated over half a million social engagements across Thorns FC’s channels, sold over 1,200 units of merch and four of our athletes brought home a golden trophy.
