Soccer City, USa

From day one, when the Timbers set foot in Civic Stadium in 1975, Portland, Oregon became Soccer City, USA. As we prepared to re-open that same stadium (now Providence Park), adding 4,000 additional seats to a completely renovated park, there is no doubt that 1844 SW. Morrison St. will remain the epicenter of Soccer City, USA.

We created an out of home campaign in the lead up to the long anticipated home opener.

On opening day, we dusted of the reels of archival footage and paired it with modern imagery to generate excitement ahead of the main event.

A Timber Ribbon Cutting

Like any grand opening there needs to be a proper ribbon cutting. So we pitched the idea to have the original mascot Timber Jim come out of retirement and slice off a commemorative log slab.
