Timbers Axe Portraits
Every five years, the Portland Timbers invite supporters to come to Providence Park to have an Axe Portrait taken.
In our third iteration of this tradition, the city came out in droves. Around 3,000 people waited in lines for up to six hours to have their portrait taken. These images were free to the public at RCTID.com and a select few were featured in several billboards around the city and banners hung at Providence Park.

We built a digital archive for all of the Axe Portraits ever taken, where fans could share their story and download their portraits.
Out of Home
This father daughter duo moved to Minnesota, but flew back to Portland to recreate the same portrait over the course of tens years.
The Timbers family continues to grow.
The future of Timbers’ support looks bright (and adorable).
A show of soccer support in Portland wouldn’t be complete without Thorns FC representation.
